The first annual Kids Rock the Runway fashion show in Scottsdale, Arizona went down on October 17th. Hosted and created by Cheeky Chic Baby Boutique and Scoop by Morgan, this was a sold out with over 200 attendees, standing room only event to benefit rock icon, Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Teen Center: “A faith-based organization, Solid Rock’s primary mission is to make an everlasting difference in the lives of teens by helping them meet the spiritual, economical, physical, and social needs of at-risk teens (we believe all teens are at risk) in the community by offering a safe, engaging environment during non-school hours –a time when they are most vulnerable to drugs, violence, and gangs. Maintaining “a teen’s worst enemy is too much time on their hands,” Solid Rock provides the music, arts, vocational programs and fellowship that challenge teens to discover their passion through music, dance, self-expression, and creativity.”
When the lights went down and the classic rock music turned up, 50 mini fashionistas ranging in age from 1 thru 9 years old strutted their stuff in designer fashion. Rowen Christian denim, Dillonger Clothing, Duke of London, Vicious Wear, Mini Shatsu, Scoop by Morgan, Dior, Baby Teith, Hugo Boss and more were on full display.
Morgan Cooper, daughter-in-law of sir Alice Cooper with her twin boys Falcon & Riot is the face behind recently launched Scoop by Morgan. Kicking off with tees, her line is set to include true rockstar style fashion with design assistance from Alice himself!
We are sending out a huge thank you to Cheeky Chic Baby Boutique and Scoop by Morgan for giving Mr. Wynn the opportunity to walk his very first runway show! He was terrified, not gonna lie but being surrounded by those that believe in you, encourage you and totally lift you higher makes a huge difference! A little patience and a whole lotta love. XO
We have followed Australia-based Duke of London since their original launch onto the kids fashion scene many moons ago. Throughout this time we have gotten to know designer, Kiri Proctor very well. With every new collection she has launched, the excitement and the struggle has been real. A single mom to two gorgeous boys (Duke and London), Kiri was the first designer to launch animal print hammer pants (imitations were quick to follow). Throughout numerous replications of her designs & fabrics by other companies, Kiri has been knocked down yet continues to get back up, standing on her own two feet. Her designs have been regularly spotted on mini celebrities such as Mason Disick, Kingston & Zuma Rossdale, Alonso Mateo and more.
Her newest collection, released in February down under for their Autumn/Winter is aptly entitled “SONS” and while our seasons are upside down with Australia, Kiri was keen to include “wear now” pieces for us here in the US.
Duke of London is available online by clicking here and a list of stockists is included on site for your convenience as it has, since day one, been a quick sell out. We are looking forward to their next collection, “Country Cowboy” which will make it’s Australian debut very soon with it’s US launch to follow.
For sizing reference, Wynn is wearing size 6 in the Mateo tank perfectly & size 5 in the Hammer pants which do run generous.
The thunder coming from down under is the result of Duke of London’s newest collection entitled, SONS. Infused with a little bit of rock-n-roll and a whole lot of attitude, it is the collection you will want every piece of! Duke of London has quickly established a celebrity-kid following, having being spotted on Mason Kardashian, Kingston Rossdale, Alaia Rose (Monicarosestyle), Alonso Mateo (luisafere) and more!
Duke of London was the first to launch animal print pants many moons ago. They continue their tradition by offering them now with every new collection as must-have staple pieces.

We sure do miss our Tumblr account, it is there where we used to be able to share all of our instagram shots with the entire world. Since it was shut down we have decided to start a new weekly series entitled, “Tales from Instagram Land” for everyone that may not have access to Instagram (or has filtered internet like several of our international friends).
Coming up tomorrow, the newest collection from Duke of London launches. Be prepared for SONS to make some major thunder and yes you will want every piece!

Continuing with our new Adventures in Wonderland series, we present one of the oldest furniture & collectables stores in Los Angeles: Nick Metropolis. Home to an awe-inspiring amount of vintage interiors, movie props, artwork and more, Nick Metropolis has sat on the corner of La Brea for 24 years. Many music videos, fashion shoots and movie clips have been shot here. The ghosts of Hollywood glamour and influential musicians live and breathe within this magical & mystical place.
The Egg Chair complete with speakers for the most relaxing of chill times. My aunt had a chair just like this when I was little and I absolutely loved it. Being encompassed with music and the whole world’s volume is turned to off, a very sweet meditating experience indeed.
In speaking with Nick of Nick Metropolis, he shared with me that in addition to his regular employees he also helps out the homeless by allowing them the freedom to roam about his facility and even insures that they never leave hungry. A guy with a big heart, Nick along with his sister Mitra were incredibly accommodating to us and even allowed Wynn full access of their treasures including plucking out a few notes on the piano that claims space there.

After one of the longest & worst winters ever, we are finally feeling the signs of Spring. Temps are rising to the occasion of allowing us to make some serious room in our wardrobes for fresh new fashion!
Germany-based Vicious Wear is packing some serious heat when it comes to lighting up our Spring with electrifying cabana colorways and tricked out details throughout every piece. Orange pumped up with royal blue paired with splashes of neon instantly has us feeling happy. Wynn wears their Deepsi Jacket over Cringles tee & loose-fit Linn pants along with new for Spring 2014 Timberland cupsole boots.
Comfy soft knits make the transition from sleepy snow & blustery cold to the rainbow room of a warm Spring effortlessly. For sizing reference, Wynn is wearing their euro 122 (us 7) comfortably with room to grow. Wynn is wearing the Fuddy Duddy hoodie paired with Linn pants. Pictured below is the Color Storm hoodie splashed with neon & unisex Crumb pants.
Hands in the ‘err with a V for Vicious and W for Wear! This scrumptiously soft organic cotton/bamboo 2pc. blazer, matching pants styled with their Cringles striped tee in bamboo cotton & organic cotton round scarfwon us over instantly! Uber fabulous with all 3 of our mandatory fashion keys (Cool, Calm & Collected) turned up and ready to ride into Spring!
Australian-based Duke of London sings us a sweet song of Summer love. Designed for boys, we are giving them the standing ovation for including our favorite color yellow as well as bubblegum pink in their new collection. Paisley covered fabrics not typically seen in boys fashion takes us to the shores of an Italian villa and back again. For sizing reference, Wynn is wearing size 6 in both Bello Hooded Tank and Lemon Cut-offs.
Hollywood-based, Jagged Culture has the ability to turn us into someone else in an instant. That person? Rockstar. With each piece being a beautiful work of art played out onto fabric, Jagged Culture hand-designs, cuts & sews each piece making it as unique as the kid that wears it. Wynn wears their Drum Kit tee with added thermal underlayer & Music Fedora paired with striped blazer from H&M, Bobo Choses slimfit faux leather pants & Timberland earthkeeper boots.
Wynn wears Beautiful Disaster blazer, over two of Jagged Culture’s upcoming Fall 2014 collection pieces: Elephant Skeleton Tee & Two-tone Elephant parachute pants in silky-soft french terry (both are available for pre-order by emailing them).
Like a rabid dog ready to attack, the statement tee of every kid’s mantra: My Life My Rules tee with stud & leather detail paired with Tuxedo shorts & LA Skull Scarf in perfect for Spring jersey cotton. Three fantastic & extremely talented designers that should be a part of your little’s wardrobe this Spring & Summer in a direct nod to the chaos of heavy metal, the top-down cruising of the Beach Boys & the familiar sounds of classic rock.

Rock star style is just one of many ways for kids to express themselves through fashion. We are saluting, horns up, rock’n’roll in our first of many Spring Style Inspiration editorials. The Hard Rock Hotel in Chicago provided the perfect backdrop and was overly accommodating in filling up our thirst for classic rock’n’roll. We didn’t need no stinkin’ badges to explore every floor of the hotel. Grown men stopped in their tracks, gave Wynn the “horns up” and one even went into an air guitar playing frenzy while telling us about when he saw AC/DC bring the house down in Detroit. Little Angus Young, aka Wynn, wears Jagged Culture’s Beautiful Disaster blazer with tuxedo shorts paired with Crewcuts rugby striped tie, Milk & Soda Hello fold back cap, Tom & Drew tuxedo shirt & black Timberland boots. Macklemore has proven time and time again that fur is not just for the cold (nor only for girls). The ceiling couldn’t hold Wynn’s furlicious style in Jagged Culture’s “my life my rules” (exactly) tee, Zara fur vest & Duke of London’s lemon yellow cut offs. Whoever said that scuba masks were only for diving really doesn’t know how to have a good time, which is exactly what fashion should be – fun & carefree while still maintaining the cool, calm & collected.
Super bangin’ accessories are what will keep things shook up all Spring & Summer long. Jagged Culture’s jersey cotton skull print scarf is light enough to go anywhere your own little kings & queens of cool take it, paired with Jagged Culture’s camo skull tee , Sudo kids fireball jeans and Timberland boots. As a special reward for being awesome, Jagged Culture has extended their 30% off site-wide sale through Jan25th. Use code ROCKON14 at checkout. Coming up next we have a new Dutch favorite, Haas and even more Spring Style Inspiration!

Southern California is weird when it comes to their weather, similar to where we live so with our layering skills in-tact we brought along our favorite layering options for fancy to casual cool style.
Airplane travel attire for Wynn included an easy to spot Paul Smith Junior multi-colored shirt, IKKS royal blue trousers, Paul Smith Junior Rabbit high tops (all available at MonPetit Child) and Mini Rodini leather biker jacket (available at Alex and Alexa). We swanked it up with his favorite rhino-print silk bow tie from ShopBelle. While at the LAX airport we ran into Tim Tebow! He thought Wynn had swag and we think he’s pretty cool too!
Shopping at 3rd street Promenade in Santa Monica meant another round of “stand out” style. In a sea of the same, Wynn definitely caught attention in his Shampoodle plaid Punk Pants & Vicious Wear organic cotton military sweater. For the most comfortable, easy to run in loafers – Primigi has been our #1 for years along with super fun printed socks by Bit’z Kids.
Venice Beach is like entering another universe, we could spend hours just watching the cool & interesting people that hang out there. Wynn wore his Duke of London bello hood paired with acid wash denim by Vicious Wear & his Jagged Culture straw Music print fedora. During our visit with the amazing designer behind Jagged Culture, Berlyn Valdez, she introduced us to Timberland boots. Having been long die-hard fans of Dr. Martens this was not an easy takeover but we are thrilled to report that Wynn loved them and has instantly made them his new favorites!
Active little boys are known to get dirty (or wet when they decide to run into the ocean) so we always have an extra set of style packed for Wynn. La Miniatura’s army chimp lightweight tee (available from The Boys Store) paired with Vicious Wear cool kids jeans was an easy change into.
Hanging out in Manhattan Beach calls for casual, comfortable style. Wynn wore his new tee from Made Kids paired with Czesiociuch harem pants (and his new favorite boots). For our visit to the pier, which can easily get chilly, Wynn wore his extra cozy asym sweatshirt by Mimobee, which has passed the wash & wear-ability test with flying colors and is the one sweatshirt he requests to wear over & over again, easy to move in Black dyed harems by Funky Legs & Aviator Nation beanie.
For our special evening out at the Bollare Timberland Event as invited guests by our new friend, Berlyn Valdez of Jagged Culture, Wynn fit right in with the other rockstars in his Jagged Culture drum kit tee, Shampoodle punk pants, Mini Rodini jacket & yes, of course Timberland boots.
We are excited for our upcoming move to Los Angeles, we feel right at home when it comes to our personal fashion choices and the friends we have already made there mean everything to us.
Recently launched kids fashion designer, Mimobee, is anchored in the heart of Orange County, CA and 100% made in the USA. With a direct focus on providing wardrobe staple basics, Mimobee is far from being “basic”. Asymmetrical hemlines, raw edge seams and buttery-soft fabrics, these are ultra luxe, “wear them everyday” from casual to stylish essentials.
All of Mimobee‘s garments go through a pre-washing process to take out the shrinkage. They also add in two extra washes to soften up the fabric, which gives their garments a washed vintage-y look and feel. Super soft is an understatement!
Wynn is wearing Mimobee‘s Asym Hem Sweatshirt in Heather Grey. Comprised of cotton/poly/rayon, making it soft, somewhat stretchy and extremely cozy!
Mimobee‘s A/W collection includes everything from the Asym Sweatshirt Wynn is wearing to full zip jackets, premium leggings, harem pants, tail back tees & the coolest pleated, dare we call them “sweats”, we’ve ever seen! Several of Mimobee’s pieces are completely co-ed friendly making this designer one that can easily move between your daughter’s and your son’s wardrobes!
