Minimalistic style with a major twist. Telegraph Ave creates fashion for kids that can easily move from minimalistic to rockstar on the boulevard style. Every piece is hand designed and created by founder, Aman with inspiration she gathers from her spunky adorable, life-loving daughter Mara.
Wynn is wearing Telegraph Ave Harem Pant & Vented Vest, both in smooth black velvet styled with Mini & Maximus No Haters raglan and Dr. Marten boots.

Since 2009, yes that long, Mini & Maximus has continued to create quirky, always soft, forever comfortable cool kids fashion for both boys & girls. Throughout the years, MIMA as they are fondly referred to, has utilized various talented local artists for their designs. Each one is an original, hand-drawn design by a real person and made right here in California! I was given the extreme pleasure last year of touring their creative cave and was amazed at how extremely talented they truly are. For AW15, MIMA’s “Speak Up” collection is a direct nod to several of their former styles and includes a powerful message against bullying and hatred. I’ve always been a huge fan of “if it’s not broke, why fix it” so it thrills me to see them bring back some of my most favorite designs from their past! Sometimes you do have to go back in order to go forward. “Don’t Grow Up” raglan $40; “Tricircle” Drop Crotch Pant $55“High Five” tee $32 (layered over their previous season “No Bullying” hoodie; “Zig Zag” drop crotch pants $55

For sizing reference, Wynn is currently 4’2 and wearing size 7/8 in both top & bottom.
This is a call out to all you fashion angels. The ones who are inspired by, thrilled by & sent over the moon by fashion. The passion and the struggle is real. For this pictorial we present some of our favorite quotes because in nature is where Wynn is most comfortable and sometimes I can almost hear quotes like these speaking from his eyes. Maybe it’s the Native American in him or maybe he is just an old soul.
Either way at the end of this pictorial we have included a very special surprise for you. Apple-Baby store is giving away 3 amazing Popupshop items! 3 winners will be chosen by Rafflecopter, who is very particular about those who do not follow all the rules so please make sure that you do!
“The human spirit needs places where nature has not been rearranged by the hands of man”. Wynn wears Moi Kidz yellow tank top, Popupshop canvas army pants & Birkenstocks.
“All good things are wild and free”. Added to Wynn’s outfit is a Popupshop splash print hoodie.
Links are provided on all other designer fashion, click to locate them. Welcome Sweet November…here is what I will not do. I will not hijack your glorious month with tales of what I am thankful for. You are not my shield, nor my mask to hide behind. I am thankful for every month, I am grateful for everything I have and everything I do not have. I will celebrate the pilgrim/native american bond that history states occurred during your month but I will not do a round table of what I or anyone else is thankful for. You, my sweet November are the month of weary and woe. Your colors are bland, your trees bare. Your grass has turned from green to burnt out brown. To some you are never pleasing to the eye, but to me you are beautiful. Your darkness, your cold and sometimes wet behavior appeals to the sadness within me. The sadness that every human being possesses…but does not always acknowledge. You are the month that is ready to embrace December’s slumber and admit defeat. Welcome Sweet November, I have been waiting for you.

For years we have rebelled against “normal”, against “ordinary” and above all against “thought control” when it comes to life and in fashion. For example, all colors & almost all prints are for everyone, keeping them color & print blind to stereotypical opinionated nonsense is achievable when the bricks you use to build their wardrobes come from open-minded, creative & extremely talented fashion designers.
Becoming comfortably numb to the critics of your personal style choices is the key to fashion freedom. “When you look good you feel good” has been a long-standing motto in our home and continues to reign supreme. Children especially benefit from this sentiment and building up their self-esteem at an early age is their first line of defense when it comes to bullying.
When it’s time to look fancy and let others admire your Spring style, tropical prints shirts are an instant punch in the right direction. Blazers dress it up easily as does the use of darker colored pants or denim.
For direct shopping to the items we featured please follow the links listed below. Spring has sprung, it’s time to shine in style!

Modeled by Mr. Wynn Goldberg ~ for sizing reference, Wynn wears: Mini Rodini euro 116/122; Appaman size 7; Mini & Maximus size 7/8; Bobo Choses size 8/9 (pants only); La Miniatura size 4 (shirt only).
Spring has officially arrived just about everywhere it was supposed to across the US and we are thoroughly enjoying stocking up our closet with warm weather fashion! Top of the list every year for us is tanks! Previously given a bad rap when deemed a “wife beater”, the tank is back and ready to keep your littles Cool, Calm & Collected!
Mini & Maximus “City Magic” tank, Rock Your Baby snake print suspender pants, H&M yellow faux-patent hightops.
The key to being prepared for any season is always layering. Switch out the hoodie or light jacket once in awhile for a sweet cardigan instead! We chose our Appaman Graham Cardigan for this mission.
All hail the rock-n-roll fantasy lovers with Jagged Culture’s DJ tank, American Apparel flannel shirt, Vicious Wear gray denim pants & black Timberland boots.Essential to looking cool while battling off the usual Spring/Summer nighttime chill ~ H&M faux leather motorcycle jacket is a complete must have for every little’s wardrobe – including girls!
Sleek sophistication even when wearing a tank! Goat Milk NYC striped “Tolerance” tank, H&M silver coated pants, Mini Rodini cherry red socks, Vans multi-checkerboard slip-ons.
Accessories and those lightweight layers again, this time – Zara kids “NY” hat & Zara kids black jersey-knit blazer.
Worn alone or easily layered, the tank is no longer hiding in shame. Shop all of these looks thru the links highlighted in each description and share with us your Tank This style on the best kids fashion app Lil’ Stylers or on our Instagram by tagging us with #tankthis.

I had the insane pleasure to once again attend another ENK/Playtime kids fashion event. With “Back to School” as the featured theme, fashion for Fall 2014 was in abundance at every booth.During a quick stop at Playtime I met up with Dave Rosenberger of Mini & Maximus where I was given the green light to photograph an item from their Fall collection. Color-blocking returns as do the quirky, made for art lovers graphics & prints. I chose their Youngblood raglan tee which for me is a direct nod to the song by Bad Company (for them? no clue). Dave was extremely personable and his personality echoes the laid back West Coast vibe that MIMA is well known for.
Bobo Choses, who was present & accounted for at Playtime did not allow photos but I can tell you that several of their Fall pieces are shooting an arrow directly at where our tribe will be calling home in June ~ yes, supercalifabulous LA! Dipped out denim shirts & Almost Famous-inspired fur were the standout pieces.Onward to ENK & we came across the coolest (so far) sweatpants by French designer, Sweet-Pants. Super thick, spongy knits in a variety of edgy prints (bandana, snakeskin, leopard & oh my zebra!) along with solids all come in 4 different fits with a yet-to-be-seen on any other pants clear vinyl toggle at the waist. We are definitely biting at the bit to get our hands on several pairs of these & great news for the big kids, Sweet-Pants also has an Adult line.Appaman slammed the door to the classroom and announced that they are king of the castle with their faux leather snake print blazer for boys & additional faux leather snake print moto jacket (with fur) for the girls. Fall for Appaman smells like a return to their original, street cred edge that I personally fell in love with back in 2008 (I spy a familiar bulldog graphic). I am extremely excited to see the heat brought back into their collections for babies, boys & girls and thoroughly enjoyed hanging out at their booth chatting it up with one of Appaman’s own, Lynn Husum (she gives great advice on moving across the country!).Munster Kids along with Bit’z Kids have both brought the vintage air with them in their tiger embroidered bomber jackets. Munster selected a sweet pineapple graphic lining for their version, while Bit’z Kids remained true to their Japan roots in their satin-quilted reversible rendition. Bit’z Kids selection of pants for Fall has us in love with their slim vertical stripes & punched up plaid.Candy-coated leather jackets for girls (or boys) appeared in bright apple red, lemon, classic black & silver platinum compliments of designer, Sierra Julian. Monster Republic, whom we had a nice chat with one of the founders Albert Lee, has taken their cuts to a slimmer more flattering fit for boys. Punked out versions of Mickey & Mr. Potato Head along with standard MR patches & graphics were seen throughout every piece. Plaid pants for boys are now slimmer and sleeveless puffy vests have been redesigned with velvet-soft corduory.Dsquared2 was without a doubt breathtaking & stunning ~ tiny leather gloves with gold zips for the little ladies, camo nylon fronted cardigans, oversized fur trapper hats & leather-trimmed outerwear are for those of us that live without financial limits (win the lottery or become famous and then score Dsquared2). Also appealing at their booth was the much-needed offering of a freshly brewed expresso that quickly had me fired up and ready to visit more designers! (thanks Karen B.!)It’s never a secret that I adore La Miniatura and their Fall collection for boys & girls is once again completely stellar and totally epic. Designer, Jeffrey Sebelia has created what appears to be an explosion of hand painted flowers in deeply saturated colors for the girls blazers & pants while taking the otherwise staunchy tuxedo jacket for boys onto the next level of lightweight outerwear including zipped chest pockets & a super plush faux fur collar. 60’s inspired color blocked cardigans for the boys along with crackle-dyed seperates for the girls are done in true Sebelia-style.Props to tennis pro icons, popstar icons (hello michael) as well as the classic Coco (as in Chanel) adorn several of their hooded tees, striped tees & raglans making it difficult to choose just one. Striped & plaid suits will definitely be their sell out and their instantly recognizable as La Minatura pieces. Now for the clarification of newcomer, Most Wanted – several of their designs emulate those of Brian Lichtenberg. When asked about them we were told that there was no trademark on slang graphics and they do offer their designs in several colors to be printed on various color tees. Ian Gill of Most Wanted was also very kind in giving me an LA graphic tee for Wynn. Last stop was in Times Square where I picked up this custom-painted baller cap for my #1 guy!
Fall fashion always wins when it comes to style ~ Trend forecast based on ENK/Playtime? Leather, Fur, Metallics & an overall toned-down Studio54 vibe! Coming up next we return with more Spring Style Inspiration!
