It’s suit season and no we do not mean swim! With Summer comes loads of special parties and events so make sure you shop for the perfect fitting suit for your little man. Appaman’s Mod Suit is available in an array of colors, has a well tailored sleek fit and can be worn and re-worn over and over by styling it differently each time. For this scene we have classically styled it with an essential white dress shirt (we love Crewcuts Thompson shirt), Appaman signature logo tie, added in freshly picked flowers for the chest pocket and allowed for super comfy Vans footwear. *providing they are clean & relatively new, sneakers are an okay choice for almost all events these days. For a less fancy affair, try this same suit with a solid or interesting (not tacky) graphic tee. And when casual cool is called upon, trade in the suit pants for raw denim jeans rolled up with a nice pair of wingtips (we love Crewcuts Classic Wingtips). For sizing reference, Wynn is 4’3 62lbs and is wearing size 8 Appaman perfectly. Do not buy big, do not size up, this is the number one taboo in the world of suit wearing. Suits should be sleek and well fitting and if you style it in more ways than one, a suit will end up being your best kids closet investment!

Freedom of expression, the ability to wear your clothes inside out and the coveted Cool, Calm & Collected rules of dressing a child is what UK-based Tale of Boy is all about. Catering to both boys & girls comes a collection that says “Hey boy, you can wear leopard, you can wear yellow & you most certainly can wear florals” ~ and “Hey girl, skulls are cool and the color black rules”.
Sleeky soft fabrics and far from boring prints that can literally be worn in any combination your child chooses is what makes Tale of Boy unique to the kids fashion industry. Coming in mid-September they will introduce even more cool prints in bolder (if even possible) colors and if you like what you see don’t hesistate! Tale of Boy is a limited production line keeping their designs exclusive and always fresh.
In addition to tops & bottoms, Tale of Boy satisfies the “in-between” with reversible print infinity scarves. Lightweight and so soft they’ll forget they are even wearing them! Accessories are everything so try them out as headbands as well (even for you Moms) or tie them to their front belt loop for a cool sash look!
When we moved to Los Angeles in June we had just a few “minor” requirements ~ trees & grass! No concrete jungle living here. Wynn is a born explorer, child of nature and complete free fallin’ spirit. I absolutely love seeing little boys in floral or tropical prints of any kind. Pushing the style norm is what makes fashion interesting and Tale of Boy has instantly and eloquently achieved that status.
As a special introduction to Tale of Boy we are giving away TWO of their uber cool infinity Glory collection scarves! To enter follow all of the steps listed below in our Rafflecopter widget and share this with your fashion loving friends. Ends Tuesday, August 5th at midnight pct.

The universe in it’s playful rhythm collided us with Warsaw, Poland based Kids on the Moon. An instant soul connection with their soft spoken color palette and richly soft wears. Unforgettable children’s fashion that we have become completely obsessed with.
Fine cut styles are classic and timeless. Kids on the Moon offers several pieces that are co-ed friendly and can easily be shared amongst brothers and sisters. Wynn is wearing their Brave New Boy polo in gray melange with a sleek, slim fit and tacked down turned up sleeves giving it a fancy twist on an otherwise wardrobe staple – paired with their Rebel Bottoms in anthracite which include an elasticized drawstring waist, exposed front button placket and bottom cuffs that can be turned up or left down. Both pieces are size 6yr and fit Wynn perfectly so there is no need to size up or down with Kids on the Moon. (for reference; Wynn is 47″ tall and 45lbs.)
Nothing up their sleeve, Kids on the Moon is pure, undone children’s fashion with no flashy graphics, no noisy colors and manufactured to uphold the multiple wash and wears that their clothing demands. Simplistic fashion at it’s absolute finest.
Wynn wears Kids on the Moon shortcut shorts in gray melange which are similar in appearance as their Rebel bottoms with a sleep-worthy comfort level. Quite possibly the most perfect shorts for Spring thru Fall, they also run true to size and Wynn is wearing size 6yr.
With an easy to match color palette, Kids on the Moon will harmoniously live with every single item in your little’s wardrobe. Wynn is wearing his Made Kids “if i ruled the world tee” with his shortcut shorts and Minnetonka double fringe boots.
Kids on the Moon would like for an amazing 5 of our Pop friends to experience their fashion firsthand by offering the pieces featured below as a giveaway! Winners will select their own sizes and you can enter thru our Rafflecopter listed below OR thru our Pop Street Kidz Instagram account by reposting the original editorial image with hashtag #moonpop. Giveaway ends on Thursday, June 5th at midnight cst.

It is with extreme pleasure that we present to you La Miniatura’s Spring 2013 Collection. Jeffrey Sebelia and his mad skills team return this season as both a Lover & a Fighter. With every fashion editorial, the key for us is inspiration especially since we view fashion designers as artists painting the landscape that may end up covering our littles.
For Spring 2013, La Miniatura takes us back to the 1970’s with a slick oooh ahhh Bruce Lee kung fu punch and then grips at our hearts with visions of cult classic movie, Say Anything featuring John Cusack. Kicking, Punching, Loving ~ an unlikely mash-up or is it?
Slamming the door and putting every other designer on notice who the real king of the kids fashion castle is, La Miniatura debuts their Seersucker 2pc Suit & Seperates in dip-dyed ombre stripe. Available in Ocean or Sage and easily transitionable from everyday casual to what will be the hottest style of those Summer soirees.
Kill Bill yellow tracksuits demand attention and will definitely be getting it this Spring. Yellow, our favorite, continues to be a prominent color in La Miniatura’s collection. Predominent stripes, narrow & wide provide the comfort for those that are reluctant to spice up their littles wardrobe with La Miniatura’s infamously edgey graphic tees.
From bubble pipe smoking chimps envisioned by La Miniatura’s Joel Wrona & brought to the fashion stage by in-house artist, Kirk Nelson to checker-decked skulls, La Miniatura is not afraid to let their true artistic talent shine through. No one will be putting them in the corner. With this collection La Miniatura has come out swinging yet at the same time pulling at our heart strings with a tiger-headed Cusack standing at his weakest moment, professing his love to the girl of his dreams & playing “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel.
Vulnerable and misunderstood or is La Miniatura waving the Go! flag at us consumers in a love-filled attempt to get us to realize that there is a direct connection between fashion, style & the human soul? When you look good you feel good, yes La Miniatura, you do.
Intentionally promoted as casual & carefree, the single addition of a proper jacket to any outfit instantly ups the ante on style. For Spring 2013, La Miniatura graces us with their linen tuxedo jacket in cool blue steel or decadent desert giving every little boy (or girl) the dignified style they crave.
Dr. Seuss said it best when he laid down the law of “Why Fit In When You Were Born to Stand Out”? Formerly only appropriate for hippies and spirit wear, La Miniatura shows us how true tyedye is done. Available in Competition Orange, Hulk & Ocean ~ 3 colors that were born for Spring & Summer style!
Cut-off denim shorts & vests emblazoned with La Miniatura’s nod to our country’s free-falling freebird. Slub-cotton hoodies & easy-wearing cargo pants in washed down ombre have us on board with that old “nowhere in particular to go” feeling.
La Miniatura signature crayon denim returns in it’s original style and for Spring/Summer 2013 into shorts bringing the heat in an available 7-color rainbow to select from. Plaid button-downs in Navy or Rhubarb along with non-fussy solid logo polos present themselves in timeless fashion and create yet another “comfort zone” for those weary of living off the wall.
As designer, Jeffrey Sebelia has stated from day one of his La Miniatura adventure, “dress your kid with dignity” and for Spring 2013 throw a few punches, take a chance at love and live like there’s no tomorrow.

In continuation with our Spring/Summer ’13 trend editorials, we present Shampoodle’s The Wonderland Collection! But first, since we were without any knowledge of what fantastic inspiration was behind this extensive collection, we decided to pop on down the rabbit hole with Jakob & the gang at Shampoodle to try and figure this masterpiece out!
Satin pants & jackets, Snake print cardis & leggings along with a very strong late ’70’s rainbow vibe came over us and before we knew it we were singing “Can You Feel It” by the Jackson 5! With no sign of any Alice in sight & upon further concentration of the vibrant melee of pinks, peaches, blues, oranges & yellows all swirled up together we were instantly transported to the sandy beaches of California ~ Hang Ten, Shaun Cassidy, Rollerderby, the movie Foxes & freedom!! This entire Wonderland Collection is in fact a wonderful deja vu of a carefree, wild & adventurous childhood we once had ~ the kind where we literally lived off the wall with zero inhibitions about letting our original sense of style shine. There were no rules then and Shampoodle is bringing back the boogie for boys & girls everywhere!
Skating onto the scene, wide striped tees, skirts & pants echo Rollerderby uniforms of the past. Simple yet right in line with what will be the style for Spring & Summer 2013.True to my midwestern heart and always appropriate during anytime of the year, Black ~ the color that balances it all (alongside white of course!) Mandarin collared shirts present a much more polished appearance yet at the same time unexpectedly casual. Loose-fitting harem-style pants have been on our style hit-list for months now & Shampoodle’s are not to be overlooked!
Now stop!! Two colors ~ Orange & Yellow. Completely co-ed yet constantly being fed to us consumers as For Girls Only. Break the cycle, kickstart the revolution and welcome these 2 colors into your son’s wardrobes this Summer. If this is a new introduction, they will be thrilled to have more than just green or blue to choose from & if it’s old hat, then rock on fashion liberals!
Our trip thru Shampoodle’s Wonderland has now ended but the fun has just begun ~ Shampoodle is giving away TWO of their extremely versatile & oh so fabulous Plum Tracksuits! Winners will choose their size from euro 90 thru 130, Enter below & Good Luck!

As the weather begins to get nicer, at least for a couple days here and there, we look to the upcoming spring and summer season with much anticipation. What can we expect for 2013 spring and summer style? what cuts and prints will be HOT HOT HOT? Will our boys be blessed with some awesome goodies, or will they once again be longing for cool fashion?
Since the seasons are ahead in the land of “down under” we naturally look to one of our favorite aussie brands Duke of London to prepare us for the upcoming trends of SS 2013 and we promise you will NOT be disappointed with what they have in store.
I think one of the most exciting things about Duke of London is that both the bigger boys and little guys get treated to awesome styles. Not only is it hard to find awesome clothes for preschool and up boys it’s even harder to find wicked styles for the baby boys, Duke of London solves that problem by taking their popular styles and making them mini sized for the babies.
Case in point their awesome “Bummies” ~ adorable little bloomers that offer your tiny little man a fashionable cover for that boring diaper. In some fun and funky new prints for spring/summer how adorable will he be rocking a pair of these with some old skool kicks.
Never shying away from bold stand out fashion Duke of London strays away from the typical boring prints and instead offers fun in your face prints that are right on trend. Just check out this new floral print, utilizing the very hot colors of teal and black to thrust your mini into the world of high fashion.
Wondering what to pair with those wickedly awesome bummies why not snag one of their new top offerings the “Stash Tank”. Combining the perfect match of light and comfy cotton with a classic, yet equally comfy, cut this tank is sure to be a favorite. I LOVE the rounded hem on the bottom and the pop of fun and color with the added pocket.
Take a quick look around and you will notice one hot trend for spring/summer when it comes to color, NEON. Everyone from Old Navy & Gap to the heavy hitters is offering these pumped up colors and Duke of London will not be left out. Their already relaxed retro style is perfect for these throwback colors.
How adorable and ultra cool are their new FJ Boardies in NEON for spring/summer. Like hearing your favorite track from way back on the radio these boardies will have you reminiscing about the good ole days and that one cool guy you knew who could wear anything and look good. Now your little man can be that ultra cool dude when he wears these this spring/summer. The light material, slightly slimmer fit, and detailing like the shorter leg with the contrasting ribbing mean he will not want to take these off.
Duke of London also decided to pump up their collection for spring/summer by offering some new accessories, trucker hats. But not just any trucker hats Duke of London branded hats and if that wasn’t enough they are offering NEON embroidered hats to match perfectly with your new NEON boardies. If you are like me and have a hat addict in your house these hats are a must have addition to his collection.
Last but not least what is everybody’s one MUST HAVE item for spring/summer? Why a cool bathing suit of course, that perfect suit that makes you stand out on the sandy shores or poolside. Our little guys are no different in their never ending quest for a cool suit, or what WAS a never ending quest, Duke of London has officially ended the quest with their Springa Trunks. How perfect are these with their board short style but not the baggy, saggy, boring kind that can be found at every store instead they spice things up with a tight Euro esque fit and ratchet it even higher by adding funky prints. Just check out these Amazons, an amazing snake skin print. High fashion and even higher fun for your little one.
So it looks like Spring/Summer 2013 is sure to be even hotter style wise than 2012 and we cannot wait for the warmer weather to arrive. Duke of London’s popularity is sure to skyrocket even more with their amazing SS13 collection. Continuing to do the Jeff Spicoli’s of the world proud.
Check out their entire collection on their site at http://dukeoflondon.bigcartel.com/.
